

and at various musical venues. Soon he became a part of the Jazz scene in Israel, playing with leading Jazz musicians.
At the age of 18 Eric began his studies at the Academy of Music in Jerusalem, where his skills developed under the tutelage of teachers such as Vyacheslav Ganelin, Dani Gottfried, Nahum Perferkovich and others. Between studies and following graduation from the Academy, Eric continued performing with diverse groups. At the same time he extended his musical activities to other fields. He worked with top Israeli artists, and played regularly on TV and radio shows. He composed music for movies, including "Varaity" - a documentary movie about the 'veraity center' in Israel; "Tiny lab" and "Cellonet" - a presentation movie for the Cellonet - a high tech company.
In 1993, during a visit to the USA, Eric met saxophone player Arnie Lawrence. They performed together in New York and recorded with guitarist Eric Shenkman (Spin Doctors).
For the last four years, Eric has been a leader of the group Nueva. Nueva combines Yemenite folk songs with Afro Cuban rhythms, Latin arrangements and elements of Latin Jazz music. The mixture of these different music styles is truly unique and it came out as a result of an encounter between musicians with different backgrounds.
